Post 10:

Post 8: About Communication
What do you expect to learn from the podcast project?
What does "communication" mean to you?
Communication means being able to convey a message to another person about something in a clear and meaningful way. The audience the message is intended for should also be able to relate to it easily. Good communication is not confusing, and conveys the intended message without being misinterpreted. It should also be easy for the intended audience to fully grasp and understand the intended message.
- I expect to learn a lot about natural speaking pace and about having real conversations. In class, we usually practice one structure at a time, but in the video we are going to have to combine all of them.
- I think I'm going to learn a lot about memorizing many lines at once--the video is much longer than the dialogues we practiced during the exams--and I also think that we're going to use the podcast project to discuss topics that don't appear in our textbooks.
- I also hope that I learn something about Japanese food, which is the topic of our podcast.
